A Nottingham bedroom, before and after
These fitted wardrobes and overhead cupboards in a Nottingham bedroom were a wood-effect finish that made the room feel dark and dated. The units were perfectly good, so instead of replacing them, the doors, panels and cupboards were resprayed light grey.

What can be sprayed
Most fitted wardrobes are MDF, veneer or foil-wrapped board. Each takes a sprayed finish when the preparation suits the material: cleaning and degreasing, a light key, the right primer, and thin colour coats. Mirrored doors and glass are masked, and handles are removed or masked.
The same guidance applies to kitchen units; see which cabinet materials can be sprayed.
Choosing a colour for a bedroom
A wall of wardrobes is the biggest single surface in most bedrooms, so its colour sets the tone of the room. Light greys, off-whites and soft greens keep a small bedroom feeling open; deeper colours such as navy or charcoal work in larger rooms, especially with brass or black handles.

Wardrobe spraying in Nottingham: questions
Can fitted wardrobes be sprayed a new colour?
Yes. Doors, end panels, overhead cupboards and plinths are all resprayed, so the bedroom changes colour without new furniture.
What materials can be sprayed?
Most fitted wardrobes are MDF, veneer or foil-wrapped board, which can take a sprayed finish once properly prepared. We check the material from your photos before quoting.
Do I need to empty the wardrobes?
We will tell you what, if anything, needs moving when we book.
How much does it cost?
Wardrobes are priced from photos, based on the number of doors and panels.
Can you spray kitchens as well?
Yes. Kitchen cabinets are done the same way, and doing both in one booking can save a second visit.
Is there a guarantee on wardrobes?
Yes, the same 10-year guarantee as all our work.
